An independent scan of your day-to-day work, processes and value. With numbers, and with scope and cost set in advance.
Six examples from earlier work. Sector, opportunity and measured result.
A different sector or size? The introductory call maps out what is achievable in your situation.
The BORS delivers one report. Below are the four core parts the board or the management team holds in hand for a go or no-go decision. The report also contains supporting evidence, a picture of the organization and a data quality check. The example report shows what is in it.
Every opportunity found, ranked by impact and feasibility. With the reasoning behind each one.
For each selected opportunity, the size of the gain in hours, margin, quality or competitive strength. With a measure of success per pilot.
Which key people are indispensable, how decisions travel, and what fell outside the scope but turned out to matter for the next steps.
A pilot of 90 days with an owner, a measure of success and clear boundaries. No opportunities found? Then you have avoided an investment.
The BORS scan itself takes three weeks. Before and after it sits a calm run-up and wind-down, so that choices hold up and are not made under pressure.
An introductory conversation about strategic challenges, ambitions and wishes. The conversation is captured in a transcript that forms the basis for the scope.
The transcript is translated into a scope for the organization. The executive team recalibrates and gives feedback before the BORS starts.
Every employee involved receives a questionnaire tailored to their role and work processes. Not a generic questionnaire, but exactly the questions that fit their work.
Two analyses side by side for every selected opportunity. As-Is: how the work really runs today, with which data and which actions. AI-First: how it would run if AI took over the heavy lifting in the right places. On that basis, every approved opportunity gets a business case worked out in numbers and a statement of work for vendors.
Statements of work go out to builders in our network. Quotes compared, the choice substantiated. Nobody fits? Then we advise on the next step.
With a match, direction stays with us: one point of contact for you and the builder, quality and scope guarded, until the result is in production.
The rates below are indicative and scale with the size of the organization. We set the final scope and price before the start.
Lead time from introductory call to report: 4 to 6 weeks. The questionnaire itself stays open for 2 to 3 weeks and takes employees 30 to 45 minutes to answer.
Data is processed according to GDPR principles, set down in a data processing agreement per engagement. Data flows, the AI systems used, risk assessments and responsibilities are documented.
Data is stored and processed in the Netherlands. We work exclusively with business AI APIs, where your data is not used for training and is protected by contract. For sectors with additional requirements, we align with the relevant standards per engagement.
The BORS looks wider than technology. AI is one possible route, but the scan starts with day-to-day work, value and decision making.
Within the agreed scope everyone gets the questionnaire, not only specific roles. Every employee has knowledge of their own work that can enrich the scan.
Count on 2 to 4 hours across the whole engagement: an introductory call of one hour, an interim alignment of 30 to 60 minutes, and a closing conversation of one hour in which we discuss the report. Outside of that, the engagement runs on its own.
We encourage taking part under a real name: it helps to spot internal AI ambassadors and owners of future use cases for the next steps. Anyone who would rather not share their answers with the executive team can switch that off individually. We always ask for the role within the organization.
Then that is a valuable outcome too. You avoid an investment without a sound business case and you get advice on sensible next steps.
No. The BORS exists precisely to get the value and the assignment clear first, before we look at vendors or systems.
Yes. Since 2022 we have been mapping AI opportunities at small and mid-sized businesses in construction, professional services and industry. We share specific references on request, provided the client in question agrees. In an introductory call, ask about the cases that most resemble your situation.
Paul Hoffman himself. Twelve years of AI experience, six of them as an AI officer in the Royal Netherlands Air Force. No junior team, no handover halfway. You have one point of contact from the introductory call to the final report.
No, there is no obligation. You can stop with the BORS report in hand. Or we work promising routes out further, per opportunity (€2,750): the business case, the statement of work and the vendor matching. The choice is always yours.
You pay for advice, the builder pays a fixed fee on a match. That fee is the same across the network. On top of that, we are measured on opportunities that succeed, not on volume.
Yes. We have guided every builder in the network before, from intake to delivery. Selection is on track record, not on commercial relationship. Anyone whose performance slips drops out.
A personal introductory call in which we discuss your context, explore the first opportunities and establish together whether a BORS engagement makes sense. No obligation, no sales pitch.
