WHY GAINWORKS EXISTS

What I saw at the Air Force.

In 2021, at the Royal Netherlands Air Force, I saw the earlier versions of the models behind ChatGPT. I knew then what was coming. This technology would change what it meant to run a company.

What AI did, I had seen no other technology do. It democratizes intelligence, the one thing that sets us apart as people. For the first time that was available to anyone, at any moment.

I saw what was waiting for business owners and executives. One of the largest challenges of their careers, and many would walk into it blind. The next twenty years would be decided by which organizations managed to absorb this intelligence.

Defense would manage. The large banks would manage. So would the multinationals. Small and mid-sized businesses, which carry our economy, lacked the capacity to build this expertise themselves, while the need for them would be greatest of all.

That is why I built GainWorks.

WHAT WE SEE COMING

Many executive teams treat AI as a purchasing question. Which tools, which licenses, which vendors. We see a different question coming: what does an organization look like that is carried by scalable intelligence?

AI is not a tool. It is a redesign of the organization. Work shifts from doing to judging. What AI produces, someone has to be able to validate, to catch the errors in, to answer for. Paradoxically, the skilled professional becomes more important, not less. Craft knowledge is the anchor against which AI output is measured.

For organizations that take this seriously, growth moves from linear to exponential. Companies that wait for proof are watching for a signal that is only visible from the inside. The future of work will not be decided by who buys the most AI tools, but by who anchors intelligence in the organization and its processes.

Alongside capital, talent and market, a new determinant of growth arrives: scalable digital intelligence. A marketing department with well-orchestrated AI produces content without limit, provided people guard the quality. Whoever masters that scalability opens a growth ceiling that stays closed to competitors.

Many executive teams point AI at their internal processes. But a company exists because it creates value for its customer. The organization that puts scalable intelligence to work creating customer value wins the next twenty years.

WHAT WE STAND FOR

GainWorks is built to stay. The AI transition of an organization is not a project that ends; it is work that runs over years. And in those years we go through technological shifts together, through changes of course, through different phases of your company. That is what we are built for.

A long relationship needs time. Trust gains depth, craft knowledge gains context, both across the years. We celebrate the wins, we carry the setbacks, we make the decisions together. It is work that is a business and an adventure at once. In it, we stand beside you, not across from you.

Our measure is not hours or reports, but business value, created together. EUR 50 million at our partners by 2030: in higher margins, more revenue, or lower costs. That is the result we stand behind.

INSIGHTS

AI unveiled.

The conviction behind our work, written out. Not how you add AI to your work, but what your work looks like when you design it around AI.

THE FOUNDER

Paul Hoffman.

I am the founder of GainWorks. From Meppel I work with executive teams and boards across the Netherlands: a handful of clients, intensively, for years.

I have worked with AI for twelve years now, in defense, in boardrooms, at the operational level. What I have learned is that technology without judgment is nothing, and judgment only grows by being close. That is why I work close to the client, not from a distance.

At GainWorks you work with me. Not with a team, not through an account manager. We call, we meet, we get to know each other across the years. That is how a relationship gains depth.

The promise to nature

AI consumes energy. We give back, in trees.

AI models run on data centers. Data centers consume energy. That is not an awkward footnote, it is the physical reality of the work we do. We choose not to write that reality away, but to set something against it that is verifiably larger.

That is why GainWorks invests one percent of the revenue of every engagement in certified tree planting initiatives, aiming for a measurable net positive effect on the climate. No sticker, no marketing claim. A rule of arithmetic built into every invoice.

Clients and partners who want to do more than that get the numbers, the choice of partner and the certificate.

Goal: 50,000 trees by 2045
